Abel Tasman National Park is located in Nelson. It is the smallest national park in New Zealand and has one of the most famous Great Walk. I took a water taxi (Sea Shuttle) from Marahau to Awaroa, and then I completed the walking track from Awaroa back to Marahau which is about 35km. It took me two days (walking extremely slow). It is very easy to walk and the scenery is amazing.

It is a relaxing walk. Every turning point is a surprise – a stunning golden beach.
If you are coming to Abel Tasman, please watch out for the low/high tide period and plan for your trip properly! Some areas are dangerous to cross outside of certain period, i.e. Awaroa Inlet. The tide timetables are different on every date and month.

This is scary! It is very narrow and I was alone. Nobody would know if I fall down accidentally!
Overall, Abel Tasman National Park is a very beautiful park and worthwhile to visit. If you are interested, you can download the brochures from the official DOC website. It has all the information that you need. One thing that you must be aware is that you must watch out for the low/high tide timetables and plan your trip beforehand. It is also advisable to book the hut early in advance to secure your stay in the park.
