Eastbourne Carnival – not only for kids!

Eastbourne is a suburb of Lower Hutt. It is a lovely area to live, as it is peaceful and the houses are beautiful. The downside is that it is only reachable from Lower Hutt by a narrow exposed coastal road. It is exceptionally crowded today because of the Eastbourne Carnival. This carnival is located in and around the school area for fundraising purpose to buy more IT equipment for a school.

At first I thought this is an event for kids, and I am wrong. We had a very great time here!

They are cool kids as shown in the photo below! I thought they are statues at first sight, haha. Once I donate money, their position changed. I was a bit shocked but it is actually quite fun 🙂

There are a lot of outdoor entertainment for kids. Some of the kids perform dancing, and some help in raising fund for their school. Parents are with them. I think the kids born in New Zealand are generally happier and healthier.

I miss the time when I was a light-hearted girl. I am very lucky and grateful that I was born in a complete and healthy family. If I have a kid in the future, the first thing that I would like to give him/her is a healthy family. 🙂

I love spring – a season where flowers are blooming and people are passionate.
I love carnival – because the noise and the background take all the loneliness away.
