Cromwell, South Island, New Zealand
Cromwell is a town in the Otago region of South Island, New Zealand. It takes about 50 minutes to drive from Queenstown to Cromwell. Cromwell is a place with a lot of orchards, vineyards and delicious cherries! I am on vacation with my mother and we are going to stay in Queenstown for a week. One of the must-do-things is to bring her to pick cherries in orchard.
I drove from Queenstown to Cromwell. The scenery along the trip is amazing!
We passed the vineyard, and took some photos with the grape trees. Looking at the vineyard, a lot of old memories come out in my mind. It means a lot for me. I love vineyard. Working in vineyard is tough, but I felt relax and happy especially playing with a group of friends. There are too many stories and memories when I was working in the vineyard. Once I told my friend, if I get married I want to take wedding photos in vineyard! Haha!

Finally we reached Cromwell after an hour drive. There are many PYO cherries orchard here. We chose Glenvale Orchard because I visited this orchard two years ago with my friends.

I like to eat cherries, very much. In order to pick the best cherries, I have to climb up the stair because the big and sweet cherries are always hidden on the top of the tree!
Sorry for this blur photo! These are white cherries with lovely shape. I recalled my friend told me that they are called “sweet heart”. This is a romantic name of the cherry. 🙂
