Scorching Bay – A Good Beach in Wellington

Scorching Bay, Wellington, New Zealand

There are many bays and beaches in Wellington – Scorching Bay is the best that I have been so far in Wellington. It has a large grassed area which is very relaxing and peaceful. Scorching Bay is actually smaller than I originally expected; nevertheless the beautiful scenery view has impressed me. I think it is a good recommendation of TripAdvisor.

The summer is going to end soon, and I really wanted to swim in the sea! (Though I don’t know how to swim, what a shame haha) I prepared everything including my bikini but then I realised… I forgot to bring towel! I am so careless >.< The water is freaking cold… Ah, I gave up! I sit on the grass under the sun and watching others. My mind was empty and I didn’t realise I have spent a few hours here.

A lot of Kiwi families like go to beach during the weekend. I think of my childhood. In my home country Malaysia, the beaches are far away from my house so I rarely had the opportunity to go to beach. Once my father brought me to beach in Pangkor Island, that was a great memory. If I have kids, I would bring them to beach as much as possible.

I wish one day I could be the woman like the photo above – watching kids playing with the sand.

As usual, selfie at last! 😛

I realised that I am the only Asian here, and I am the only person here alone, so I look like an Alien! Well, who cares?. 😛 Next time I want to go to other places, perhaps exploring more beaches or walks before winter arrive.
