Our dinner at Shed 5 Restaurant

Ben brought me to Shed 5 Restaurant because he thinks it is one of the best restaurants in Wellington, New Zealand. I was a bit sceptical at first but it turns out much better than I expected.

I left work earlier at 4pm because I wanted to dress up for the date tonight. 🙂 We made a reservation for 7pm. It is important to book early because this restaurant is very popular in Wellington!

We had a very delicious meal.

Shed 5 restaurant is famous for seafood, especially market fish. Their market fish change every day. You can also choose the way it is cooked. It seems like the restaurant changes the menu every half a year, so we may not have the same food again. 🙂

I had salmon and Ben had grouper but we both had the fishes cooked the same way “braised octopus caponata, green olive & almond pesto, focaccia crisps, roast pepper & potato rouille”. This is amazingly good!! It matches so well.

BTW, the staffs are very friendly. Our waitress, Frances, was so lovely and friendly! She said I am lucky because I have someone who is willing to take photos with me. 😆

If you want to enjoy the view, then try to go for the window seats. This restaurant also has a bar. The only downside of the restaurant is a bit noisy and people keep walking and may be looking at you from the outside (a bit distracting). Overall it is a great restaurant with amazing food that I would hope to come back again.
