Today is a beautiful sunny day – a perfect day for outing!

I took a 2 hours Coastal Views Horse Rides at Wainuiomata. Just a few words to describe the horse riding experience: amazing and beautiful. Actually my first horse riding is at the same place, and I blogged about it @ An Adventurous Horse Riding Day at Wainuiomata

Happily riding!

My first horse riding at this place was a few months ago. That time I wasn’t really enjoying the scenery view because I was frightened throughout the entire trek. This time I am less nervous, and so I am finally able to enjoy and appreciate the wonderful scenery. Its breathtaking beauty takes all my attention away!

My horse name is Wantan (?), a female horse. She is good, but I think sometimes she gets angry without reason. Well, I guess every female needs attention! Please be more thoughtful for a female and care about her. She will be very nice when she feels secured. 🙂

The view of the top of the hill is stunning. I am very satisfied!

I am not good in riding a horse. I thought I will be better after a few horse riding experiences but in fact I ride badly. The instructor said that I am always squeezing the horse, and this makes me very hard to get well with the horse. He is very patient and good at encouraging people. Sometimes he holds the rope of my horse in order to make sure I am okay, but this makes me a bit embarrassing because it looks like I am the most stupid student here! (Well, actually I am 😛 ) Anyway I really enjoyed the ride, especially when the horse is trotting, which is really fun and exciting!

I was headache after an hour ride. The helmet doesn’t suit me. They said it is hard to get a helmet that suits everybody. Most of the helmets are designed for European, but Asian has a rounder head. Well, it is an interesting fact!

Some sheep in the horse farm – I love sheep 🙂

Undoubtedly, New Zealand is a beautiful country. It is such a lovely place to live but I always complaint of being lonely and not having companions here. One reason is that it is a big change to my lifestyle in Malaysia, but on the other hand I know clearly that I need to adjust my mindset. ‘Independency’ doesn’t merely mean the ability to survive by myself, but also the ability of living well without relying on others. Picking up a new hobby is a good way, and I really love horse riding.

I still not get used to my short haircut. My hair… when will you grow up?

After the horse riding, I met a friend in Oriental Bay. We went to a very nice and interesting café – Chocolate Fish Café. It is very colourful and ‘kiwi’ style (very laid back)! We sit on the beanbag, chatting and watching kids playing with the toy cars. The laughter of the kids makes people happy. This is a very warm place especially for family. We spent more than 3 hours here unconsciously!

It is me sleeping there! 😛 Kids are playing behind me.

New Zealand people like sun, actually most western people did. They like to sit under the sun. But for me, I don’t like direct exposure to the sun, probably because it is ‘too sunny’ in Malaysia and the weather is very hot most the times. It is sticky and sweaty in Malaysia. So if I have the choice, I would avoid direct exposure to the sun. I am fine if there is a shade. Just different culture!

Overall today is a great day. An occupied day and I am not thinking too much else. 🙂
