After spending a day in Montmartre, I have one more day in Paris before leaving for Holland. Ben is on leave today so we can finally spend some time together!
A few photos of me (finally having someone to take photos for me) 😆:
We met Ben’s brother and sister-in-law. Four of us had very delicious crepes at Crêperie A l’Ouest, an authentic local restaurant for crepes. I especially love the savoury crepes (ham and cheese) – taste so good.
The crepes are must-try food in Paris!! 😋
Eiffel Tower
Ben and I have been to Eiffel Tower in the past, but this time we discovered the better spot to take great photos – thanks to the preparation of Ben’s sister-in-law. It is called Jardins du Trocadéro which is about 10 minutes walking distance from Eiffel Tower.
Photos taken at Jardins du Trocadéro:
The view of Eiffel Tower is stunning from Jardins du Trocadéro. It was a bit crowded here, so we had to be very careful of our belongings since pickpockets are common in Paris.
We also walked up the Eiffel Tower by stairs. The weather was excellent and the view was great from the top.
When the Eiffel Tower was built, it was perceived as an ugly building. Some said the Paris is the most beautiful when you are at the Eiffel Tower because this is the spot that you can’t see the tower itself. 😂 Well, this is very subjective. Till now, its beauty is still debatable.
Arc de Triomphe
Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It looks wonderful with a good weather.
We saw some people walking in the middle of the street in order to take photos with the front-view of Arc de Triomphe while there were many cars passed by. I think this is not a good behaviour because it is very dangerous. Why risk your life and cause troubles to the drivers for just a few photos?
Luxor Obelisk
The Luxor Obelisk is originally located at the Luxor Temple in Egypt and is now in Paris.
Getting dark in Paris
I think the streets in Paris is beautiful. Not sure if this is because of the influence of mass media, but I do think this city itself is romantic. When the sky is getting darker, why not just slow down and enjoy the silence in the city of romance?
Crazy Horse
Ben and I were deciding if we should watch the cabaret at Moulin Rouge or Crazy Horse. Finally, we decided to go to Crazy Horse.
This is a very good experience! It cost €105 per person (for the lowest price seat) which is very expensive but is definitely one of the lifetime experiences. We cannot take any photos in the cabaret yet the memories will stay with us forever. It is performed mostly by naked women and they have almost identical bodies and all of them can dance really well. We come for the art!
I hope I have more time to discover the city of Paris. Next, we are going to Holland for tulips.
