Castlepoint is a small beachside town located on the Wairarapa Coast. It takes about 2-3 hours to drive from Wellington to Castlepoint. The most remarkable attraction in Castlepoint is the lighthouse. It is really stunning when you get to the top and look at the ocean. It is one of the best scenic places that I have visited in Wellington!
I reached Castlepoint at about 5pm. The sky is turning dark. I am sure that it will be very beautiful at night with countless stars. It is also getting colder and windy.
I stayed for a night at Castlepoint Hotel & Guesthouse. I am staying alone in a twin room with two beds – quite luxurious isn’t it? XP
I woke up early at 6am on the next day because I want to see the sunrise. Watching sunrise is always a very romantic thing to do in my heart. Although I am watching alone this time, it is still romantic?
It is very spectacular in the early morning. In my opinion this is the most beautiful time in Castlepoint (before the sunrise)! The cloud is red and the beach is huge. It seems unreal. I am sorry that my camera is not a good one; I am unable take that kind of effect with my camera. It is definitely more stunning when you see it in real!
The sunrise is magnificent!
It is getting brighter. The Light House looks different in every hour.
I feel that the ocean is a mysterious woman. The waves are telling us endless stories. Perhaps the ocean has its own feeling. Perhaps the ocean is crying. Perhaps the ocean is more than what we think it is. The Light House is always facing the ocean, perhaps it is a guardian of the ocean, forever.
The clouds in Castlepoint move very quickly when it is windy (learnt from the description of the signboard). I can imagine how beautiful it is – and I wish I can see that one day.
Back to my hotel and had a free continental breakfast.
I am lucky that these two days are sunny. It’s time to go back home. I will do road trip very soon again. 🙂
