Dunedin is a beautiful and clean city. The buildings here are quite ‘English feel’ and there are many good spots to take photos. The big university here reminds me the good time when I was studying in university. How wish I hope that I could study abroad with such a lovely view every day!
University Dunedin
Clear blue sky, cool building, and green grass. If I am studying here, I would like to sleep on the grass every day after class ended!
The view of the railway station in Dunedin is very nice as well:
I have stayed for 2 nights in Dunedin (though I arrived at night on the first day). I spent most of my time in museums. Firstly my friend and I visited the Otago Settlers Museum. It is not a very big museum, but we have spent a lot of time here taking photos here and there XD
Waiting for what?
The second museum that we have visited is Otago museum, which is a much bigger museum. Unfortunately we do not have enough time to spend here because the museum was going to close at 5pm, so we were just managed to glance through and took some photos.
After the museum closed, our next stop is the Baldwin Street – the steepest street in the world. When I first came to this street, I was quietly ‘wow……!!’ It seems like the angle of the road is 45 degree!
I feel extremely satisfied after walking all the way up to the end of the street without taking a rest in the middle. There is free water supplied in the end of the street which is very considerate!
It looks a bit scary when coming down… XD
In the next day morning before I leave Dunedin, we went to the First Church. I like the church very much. I am not a Christian, but I like to sit down quietly in church and pray. I think church is a good place to calm down my heart as it is quiet and serious. I also made some wishes inside my heart.
First Church, Dunedin
In summary, I had quite a good time in Dunedin. There are many nice spots to take photos, I particularly like the university, railway station and the church. I am not a very ‘museum’ person but I have learned some historical things here. If you are interested in history, please plan for a longer stay here to allow you to have enough time covering every thing in the museums!
