Arriving Tokyo, Japan @ Day 1

Ko-ni-chi-wa!

Tokyo is the capital of Japan. It is a very prosperous city with a huge population (about 13 million people). It is a place with a lot of nice sushi shops and entertainments. The night life in Japan is excellent because it is lively and energetic. The best thing that I like about Japan is its safety, as it is fine to walk alone at late night.

I have a very lazy trip in Japan! My Japanese friend has planned everything for me and become my tour guide. I have relied completely on my friend, so I do not have to do any ‘homework’. I am happy because I usually need to settle everything by myself since I often travel alone. It feels good to be lazy sometimes. 😛

I reached Tokyo in the late night on 24 October. My friend has been waiting for me in the arrival hall. My flight arrival time should be 10.30pm but it has been further delayed, later I was known that my friend has been waiting for me since 8.30pm! I am very guilty but feeling happy at the same time.

I wasn’t able to fall in sleep at all on the first night in Tokyo; perhaps I slept too much in the plane! >.< I don’t usually sleep so much in the plane, but I am not feeling well. I am having a sore throat and bad coughing. My body is quite weak now.

We stayed at the backpackers’ hostel in Ikebukuro.

Walking in the street is fun. Looking at the people around, we have the same colour of skin, but having completely different kind of lifestyle, speaking different language, and different culture. Isn’t this interesting?
