5D4N Rainy Los Angeles Trip

We were very unlucky with our trip to Los Angeles, California. Many people have said California is always sunny; even our UBER driver said there are only 30 rainy days in a year. However, 4 out of 5 days of our visit here were in heavy rain. We stayed in the central of Hollywood but most of the time we just stayed inside the apartment.

In the United States, we had a lot of fast-food as it is everywhere. The food portion is huge and sometimes we had to share the food.

One of the most unforgettable experiences is having General Tso chicken and cream cheese wonton. We were keen to try them because we watched a documentary about General Tso chicken on Netflix. They are popular American Chinese food.

However, we did not enjoy the food… 😅 It felt really strange to us and I think it is just a cultural difference.

Santa Monica is lovely

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in Santa Monica. Luckily, it was a sunny day (the only sunny day of our LA trip). We had a delicious lunch at Santa Monica Seafood Restaurant. 😋

Santa Monica is very touristy. It is still very beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot.

Exploring Los Angeles

Since it was raining most of the times during our trip, we mainly stayed indoor such as Chinese American Museum and Madame Tussauds.

We did not get to see too much of Los Angeles because of the rain, hopefully we have a chance to visit here again.
